Hello Shatford families,

Shopping at Shatford is coming up on December 13th and we need your help to make it special for the kids!
Shopping at Shatford is an event where the students get to buy holiday presents for their family members. Presents typically cost 25 cents to $1.

In order to make this event a success, we are looking for DONATIONS of gift items, as well as VOLUNTEERS for the event.

**Donations can be dropped off at the school  starting on December 3rd..**

*We are looking for items (new or very gently used) for the students to purchase for their family members and loved ones. 

Families are made up of people of different ages, genders, and personal interests so we are looking for a wide variety of items for the students to choose from. 

We are also in need of donations of tape and ribbon/string/twine.

Volunteers:  We need a few volunteers for the set up on Thursday, Dec 12th at noon, and 10-15 volunteers for Friday starting at 8 am.
**Storm day will be Monday, December 16th.

You do need current criminal record checks and child abuse registry checks to volunteer.

*Wrapping paper challenge;Two students have brought forth a challenge to our school to help increase environmental awareness as well as decrease waste. The challenge is to try using different materials to wrap gifts in, to avoid purchasing and using gift wrap.  We are looking for donations of alternative wrapping solutions this year.  We are happy to reuse paper/newsprint, cloth/fabric, non-plastic bags, small boxes, you name it.  If we can wrap a gift in it, we will use it.
